Patti and I met with Dr. Peleg, our oncologist today for the first time. He said the CAT scan looked excellent but we are waiting for the results of the PET scan. He won't have any final decision for us until he gets the PET scan results.
The PET scan will be tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. This test involves a radioactive sugar substance injection into the veins. The doctor says the sugar attaches to the cancer and is the radioactive part makes it visible on the scan. The doctor hopes to have the results tomorrow night or early Wednesday.
We meet again with the oncologist next Monday. Treatment is set to start Monday afternoon. He said the treatment will be very hard and aggressive because the cancer is very aggressive.
Our spirits are up and we appreciate your cards and encouragement.

This is from Dan and Becky Zeltner, we knew you from First Baptist and are now at FBC in Lagrange. Our daughters have reconnected through home schooling, what a blessing!!! I worked with Patti in Awana. We are praying for you and your family; the news sounded really encouraging from the oncologist! I will put you on our prayer list at our church.
Steve & Patti, We are praying for you daily! So glad the visit yesterday was good and we will be praying for the PET scan today. You both were so kind to me during my time there at JLMoore and I want you to know how much that meant to me...being away from all of our family. Steve and Stacy are still some of our dearest friends. We will be keeping up with your blog to see how things are doing. We love you and know the Lord is going to keep you strong through this. Beth & Anthony
